Mission Statement

To introduce children and adults to Jesus Christ by creating opportunities to serve and play a variety of sports.... soccer, flag football and cheerleading.

Vision Statement

NRBC's Upward Ministry uses a variety of sports and camps to connect families to a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We seek to train and equip coaches and referees who will teach both skills of the game as well as knowledge of Jesus Christ. We also seek to train young athletes to grow both athletically as well as spiritually, ehlping train and equip them to share their faith with their friends and family. We use Upward Sports Leagues as an avenue to open doors to reach families of the church and community.

Registration Information

The early registration cost per child for flag football or cheerleading is $65; after January 23, the cost is $75.
Deadline for Registration: February 6
Flag Football shorts are optional at a cost of $10.
Cheerleading mock turtlenecks are optional at a cost of $10.

Evaluations and Orientations

Everyone must attend one flag football evaluation or cheerleading orientation.

Evalutions/Orientations will be held on the NRBC Recreation Fields as follows:

Sat., Feb. 4 between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
Mon., Feb. 6 between 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

League Schedule

Practices begin the week of Mon., Feb. 20. Each player will have one weekday practice (Mon., Tues., or Thurs.) and one Saturday game each week at 9, 10 or 11 a.m.
First game: Sat., March 3
League Picture Day: Sat., March 24
Awards Celebration: Sun., April 22 at 3:30 p.m. Special Guest: Brett Myers

Weather Cancellation Policy

* In the event of inclement weather during practices, coaches will
decide whether they cancel or move indoors for a scaled down practice.

* In the event of inclement weather on game days, the Upward
Commissioners will decide whether games will be cancelled by 8:00 a.m. Stay tuned to: www.nrbcsportsandrec.blogspot.com and the NRBC website for weather cancellations on game days.
