At Nansemond River Baptist Church, we want you to experience God for yourself. If He is leading you to become a follower of Christ, that is the best decision a person can ever make. God's word reveals that following Him leads us to:

1. Recognize that we are sinners and cannot help ourselves. We must be willing to choose against the sin that rules us and obey God's will for our lives. (Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1)
2. Believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and receive Him unconditionally as Savior and Lord of our lives. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 1 John 5:3)
3. Publicly profess our faith in Christ by being baptized by immersion in a local church. (Romans 10:9-10; Colossians 2:12)

Membership requires that you attend a three-week class for new members. This class meets on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays of each month at 11:00 a.m. in the Pastor's Study.  Please contact the church office for more information.
