Jesus said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Reach Up :: Worship & Prayer :: Everything we do starts with knowing God. Our ministry and evangelism are not merely duties of the Christian but the natural overflow of experiencing God. Every week we gather to worship and pray as a congregation and in small groups but our worship is not limited to one day a week. In fact, every facet of life is an opportunity to worship God.
Reach In :: Discipleship & Fellowship :: The gospel does not just free individuals from the tyranny of sin and evil, it restores us to God and others. Life isn’t meant to be lived alone – we need friends and family to partner with us on this journey. God desires that those who follow Jesus live in community rather than isolation as they follow Christ. Being a disciple of Christ is accomplished in the context of community.
Reach Out :: Evangelism & Ministry :: Since the beginning of creation, God has been on a mission to make Himself known to humanity. Though this was ruined by sin, through Jesus, we are restored and empowered to take part in God’s mission of reconciliation to the world. Therefore, we exist not for ourselves but for the joy and good of the people around us. Our church is on a mis- sion to make Jesus known.
For more on our beliefs, affiliations, leadership, and processes, please read the NRBC Constitution, By-Laws, and Covenant. Also, you can read about the history of NRBC’s founding. We have also compiled a set of Core Competencies we hope to develop in each member as we grow in our faith.
As a church affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention you can read the Baptist Faith and Message (2000) for a helpful summary of our major doctrinal beliefs and denominational distinctives. We are also partnered with the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia. These partnerships are built and fostered on the belief that the need for the gospel is so great in our world that we can do more together as a cooperating convention of churches than any of us can do alone.
If you feel God is leading you to become a covenant member of NRBC please contact one of the pastors, the church office, or fill out a Connect Card on a Sunday morning.
